New Title
Measure not God's nearness by the stillness of the waters; but by the hand that reaches for you, the voice that calls you forward, and the presence that steps into your boat. The storm may not be the enemy. It may be the place where Christ has led you, teaching you to walk. (Matt 14: 12-22)
Gracious Lord, whose presence meets us not only in calm waters but in the storms that shape our faith: reach out your hand to steady us, speak your voice to call us forward, and step into the boats of our lives with saving nearness. Teach us to walk where you lead, and to find in every storm the grace of your companionship; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
